The Company: Darkness to Light
Darkness to Light is a nonprofit organization created to reduce the incidence of child sexual abuse through public awareness and education. Based in Charleston, SC, Darkness to Light provides educational materials and training programs to empower parents, educators, youth center staff and others to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to sexual abuse situations.
The Challenge
Darkness to Light's workbooks, brochures and training kits are utilized by organizations and individuals across 47 states and 10 countries. Requests for educational materials come in daily via the company's Web site, ranging from a dozen pieces for a small training workshop to thousands for an organization-wide training initiative. Traditionally, Darkness to Light used local print vendors to pre-print materials, stocked all collateral in-house and packaged and shipped as requests came in - a time consuming and inefficient system.
